WALK FOR THE WOUNDED - Canmore, AB

This is the first expansion event of Walk For The Wounded: Canmore to Banff, and back. 

This 2 day, 84 km route breaks down into 2x42 km lengths that each member of your team will conquer. To add to the challenge, each participant will wear a 20 lb weighted pack, complete with all necessary supplies to see you through your  walk. Finally, you will also conduct 22 push-ups every hour on the hour.

While you will not be walking alongside your team, you will share the path with other soldiers, police, firefighters, and paramedics, all there to put in some sweat equity and raise funds for mental health.

the Layout of the walk is a 'There and back' format, with a midway checkpoint to swap walkers. 

Walker 1 & 2 will walk together from Canmore Stoney Creek Campground

Walker 3 & 4 will walk from Stoney Creek Camopground to West Bragg Creek Parking Lot

Teams are invited to stay at Stoney creek as it is rented for the event, both Friday night and saturday night. Teams are responsible for camping gear. Come and enjoy camp fires and conversation with other teams. Alternatively, teams can book lodging in Kananaskis Village a short drive down the road.
