About the event

Note: Please ensure all team members register individually.

This is the new offical Walk For The Wounded route: Petawawa Legion to Synergy Farms & Forge.

New This year: Teams are now a minimum of 4, but no maximum. This means you can have multiple teammates on each leg, provided your team has each of the 4 legs walked.

Be prepared to be pushed to your limits in this 2 day, 168 km route broken down into 4x42 km lengths that each member of your team will conquer. To add to the challenge, each participant will wear a 20 lb weighted vest, and conduct 22 push-ups every hour on the hour.

While you will not be walking alongside your team, you will share the road with other soldiers, police, firefighters, and paramedics, all there to put in some sweat equity and raise funds for mental health.

Eligibility: Veterans, active duty military, first responders, and spouses to any of the aforementioned.

Registration will only remain open until teams are filled, so don't delay!

Notes for registration:

  • Team registration mandatory: Each member of your team will have to complete the registration. Decide on a team leader and team name prior to registering as this will be essential for organizing teams
  • Fundraising commitment: Each participant who registers agrees to commit to a $1000 fundraising goal for Wounded Warriors Canada. A donation link will be provided and further details given. Note: The team has an overall $4000 fundraising goal, so it may not be essential for each to meet the goal as long as the team overall meets it.
  • Fitness: This event is not a small undertaking, with numerous participants finding they underprepare as a result of underestimating the challenge of walking non stop for 8 hours. We ask that each participant take training and preparation seriously. If you feel you cannot commit to training enough to meet the standard, consider allowing team space for others.
